Meet Our Pastor

In February of 1979, God showed favor upon this body of believers by giving us Pastor John and Sharon Loper. It marked the beginning of a wonderful relationship between a pastor and his congregation. His love and dedication for God and His family, as well as this local body of believers, has earned him a place of high esteem and great honor in our hearts. His leadership abilities have led us in accomplishments for the kingdom of God that we would never have dreamed possible without his vision.
  We owe a debt of gratitude to Sharon Loper for always graciously accepting his time spent away from home while serving this church. Her leadership abilities have set the pace for the ladies of Garywood time after time with her own example of commitment and dedication.
  Their children — John, Jason, Julie and Summer — have a warm place in our hearts for always living up to the task of being “pastor’s kids.” They have been shining examples among our own children, and an asset to our church as well.
  We are now looking forward to many more exciting, challenging and rewarding years under the leadership of Pastor John and Sharon Loper and their family.
